The project ereflects on the artist’s experiences during his residence in Denmark, with regards to the complex issue of immigrants within the Danish society.
Newly arrived in Denmark, the work was an early response to the complex issue of immigration and intergration in Danish Society. 200 fresh falafel sandwiches were made daily and wrapped in images of immigrants who live in the Vollsmose suburb. As the audience consume these symbols and products of migration, the Danish Flag is slowly releaved, projected onto the wall behind the tables.
Photos of four immigrant families originally from different backgrounds, staged in the same garden, in front of the same house, with the same dog.
