The project ereflects on the artist’s experiences during his residence in Denmark, with regards to the complex issue of immigrants within the Danish society.
During the exhibition, 200 fresh falafel sandwiches wrapped in images of immigrants who live in the Vollsmose suburb, were offered every day and placed on top of four tables, which were located next to each other to form the Danish flag.
The tables were filmed from above and then projected on to the wall behind the tables. The audience was invited to take and eat the sandwiches, and subsequently after while the red tablecloth began to emerge as the Danish flag.
Photos of four immigrant families originally from different backgrounds, staged in the same garden, in front of the same house, with the same dog.
