Transparencies is an ongoing archive of newspaper clippings collected since February 2009. Illuminated from behind, each sheet allows images and text printed on its reverse to pass through the paper. Content separated by page layout, subject, and editorial intention is drawn into a single visual field. The resulting compositions are not collages constructed by the artist, but latent images already embedded within the material structure of the newspaper. Unrelated bodies, events, commodities, and conflicts overlap, producing juxtapositions that can be absurd, intimate, or callous. The work exposes how news media do not merely transmit reality, but organise attention through selection, cropping, placement, and sequence..
